If you have already visited University Heights, we hope that you had an enjoyable experience.  We appreciate your choosing to worship at University Heights.  If you are visiting our website to find out more about our beliefs, you can link here to learn more about who we are.  Below is other information you might find useful.

Where is University Heights located?
University Heights is located at the intersection of Grand and National, directly across from the Missouri State University campus.  Our address is 1010 S. National.  Our phone number is (417) 862-0789.  You can get directions from your house by clicking here.

What about parking?
It is best to park in the lot you enter off of Grand Street or Delmar Street.  The main entrance to the building is on the east side of the church.

How will I know where to go once I get inside your building?
There will be a greeter at the door for Sunday services who will assist you in getting to the sanctuary or to a Bible Study class.

What kind of services do you offer for my children?
Child care is provided in our preschool suite for children birth through age 3.  You can access more information about the Preschool ministries at University Heights on the Preschool Ministry page.
You can follow this link to the Children in Action pages for information about ministries for children in grades 1-5.

Sunday Morning Worship begins at 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday night has a varied schedule for each person's particular interest.  You can discover more about our mid-week ministries by following this link.

Will people know that I am a guest?
We want you to feel welcomed in the warmest manner possible.  However, you will not be singled out or asked to stand.  We would greatly appreciate it if you would provide us with your name and address in the registration book that should be passed to you during worship.  We follow up on all of our visitors and provide them with a loaf of bread from the church, if you let us know how to reach you.  We also invite you to stay after worship for the coffee and doughnut fellowship in the Narthex area just outside of the sanctuary.  Hopefully you will feel welcomed there as our members mingle and greet you and one another.

What does your church believe?
Click here for more information about our beliefs.

When do you serve Communion and may I participate?
Communion is served the first Sunday of every other month beginning in February during morning worship.  December is an exception to this schedule.  Communion is served during our Christmas Eve Service.  Communion is open at University Heights.  The table is the Lord's, not ours, and if you are the Lord's child you are welcome to observe communion with us.

What if I want to know more about becoming a member of University Heights?
If you believe the Lord is leading you to unite with our church, we will be happy to receive you by one of the following ways:

BY PROFESSION OF FAITH AND BAPTISM - If you receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and follow Him in baptism by immersion, we welcome you into our fellowship.

BY PROMISE OF A CHURCH LETTER - If you are a Baptist whose church membership is elsewhere, we will gladly take care of the details for transferring your membership.

BY STATEMENT - If you have previously accepted Christ as personal Lord and Savior, and have been baptized by immersion as a believer, you may join by your statement.

BY BAPTISM - If you are a Christian but have never been immersed as a believer, we will accept you as a candidate for membership by baptism.

By "Watch-care" - Students or others who are short-term residents of Springfield and do not wish to separate from their "home" church may become "watch-care" members by coming forward at the conclusion of the service.
